Day-by-Day Travel Plan

Itinerary & Trip Details

Set off on a colorful and culturally rich journey through Gujarat and Rajasthan, where history, heritage, and natural beauty come alive. Begin in Ahmedabad with its exquisite stepwells and old city charm. Explore the sacred town of Dwarka and the coastal temple of Somnath before heading into the wild at Gir National Park to spot Asiatic lions. Continue to the White Desert of Kutch for a surreal Rann Utsav experience. Then move into the regal lands of Rajasthan—walk through the blue lanes of Jodhpur, admire the golden sands and havelis of Jaisalmer, and take in the grandeur of Udaipur’s lakes and palaces. The journey concludes in Jaipur, the Pink City, with its forts, bazaars, and vibrant traditions. This itinerary weaves together deserts, temples, wildlife, and royal splendor in a vibrant tapestry of western India.

Day 1 – Ahmedabad

Arrival at Ahmedabad and upon arrival you will be welcomed by the Indian tradition with a flower necklace to wish you good luck and a good trip.Taken to the hotel.Relax and Overnight at Ahmedabad.

Day 2 – Ahmedabad – Sanchore(255km / 5 Hours)

After breakfast drive to Sanchore it is a city off the beaten track never visited or witnessed by western tourists.Sanchore boasts one of the largest cow retirement home(Goshala) Pathmera.Visit the local market of Sanchore.Overnight at Sanchore.

Day 3: Sanchore

Start the day at the cow retirement home and lunch in the cow house and then drive to the village Galifha a village which has never met foreigners with the shelter of birds, flamingo, gazelle, blue cow, golden jackal etc.Visit a temple of Premabai a lady who practiced self immolations and religious center for farmers. Dinner in a warrior family.Night at Sanchore.

Day 4 – Sanchore

Breakfast at the hotel and head towards the border of Pakistan.On the way visit the most famous temple of goddess Khasarvi always frequented by the locals as a pilgrimage.And also visit the village Rampura to meet the Artisans who are into making carpets. Return back to Sanchore and Overnight at Sanchore.

Day 5: Sanchore – Barmer(135 kms / 3 Hours)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Barmer.Visit the Ruma Devi Barmer: Gramin Vikas Evam Chetna Sansthan, an organization helping thousands of artisans to reach out to buyers for their uniquely crafted pieces.Also visit the Kiradu group of Temples – 12th century temples constructed in the Maru Gurjara Architecture.Overnight at Barmer.

Day 6 – Sanchore – Jawai(240 kms / 5 Hours)

Take your Breakfast and drive to Jawai – famous for watching leopards and migratory birds.Jawai Dam is also famous for large crocodile populations.Enjoy the evening safari in Jawai and hope to be lucky enough to sight a Leopard. Overnight at Jawai.

Day 7 – Jawai – Udaipur(170 kms / 3 Hours)

After breakfast drive to Udaipur Udaipur was discovered by Maharana Udai Singh in 1553. In 2009, Udaipur was named the best city in the world by a magazine. Udaipur is famous for the school of miniatures and its lakes, beautiful palaces, mountains, chambers and tiger gardens.It also has many royal palaces which have been converted into luxury hotels today.Visit the famous City Palace in Udaipur and enjoy the boating in the famous Lake Pichola.Overnight at Udaipur.

Day 8 – Udaipur – Mount Abu(160 kms / 3 Hours)

After breakfast drive to Mount Abu the hill station.Apart from its scenic beauty, Mount Abu is also an important place of worship for Jains.The architectural wonders of the Delwara Temples in Mount Abu attract history and architecture enthusiasts from different corners of the world.Visit the Sunset Point in the evening and relax.Overnight at Mount Abu.

Day 9 – Mount Abu – Poshina(60 kms / 1½ Hours)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Poshina – village famous for its tribal shrines, Jain temples and its ancient Shiva temple.It has the white sandstone Jain temples of Parshwanath and Neminath, measuring 150 feet long by 140 wide and 26 high.A few weeks after the Holi festival, the Chitra Vichitra fair is held nearby, namely Gunbhakari.Overnight at Poshina.

Day 10 – Poshina – Sidhpur – Patan – Modera – Dasada

After breakfast, proceed to Sidhpur known for its Haveli(Large opulent mansions) of the Dawoodi Bohra community giving a feeling of streets in Europe.Thereby proceed to Patan, the first capital of Gujarat and discover Rani – Ki – Vav, a 11th Century 7 Storeyed Stepwell and a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its beautiful intricate carvings and houses more than 500 Sculptors of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.Also visit the Patola Weaving Art Artisans, an art practiced by a handful of families around the world.Thereby proceed to Visit the Modhera Sun temple famous for its precise use of Vastu Shashtra and geography.It was built during the reign of Bhimdev I of the Solanki dynasty in the year 1026. Overnight at Dasada.

Day 11. – Dasada – Bhuj(300 km / 6 Hours)

After Breakfast, proceed to Bhuj and visit Pragmahal Palace, the palace of the rulers of the Kutch region.Maharao Pragmalji initiated the creation of this palace. This Gothic style structure isworth visiting.Aaina Mahal, literally translated as thePalace of Mirrors.Is a beautiful palace renovated after the earthquake in 2001. It also houses a museum of handicrafts from various regions of Kutch Hamirsar Lake.In the heart of the city, the lake is a good place to sit and relax.Bhujiyo Hill. A fort built by the ancient rulers to protect the city.Now it is open to the public. You can have a beautiful panoramic view of the entire city.Then in the evening ShreeSwaminayan Temple.An architectural masterpiece built in marble, is a magnificent place to visit.The all – white structure of the temple is breathtaking. Overnight in Bhuj.

Day 12 – Bhuj – White Desert(80km – 1½ Hours)

After Breakfast, Day excursion in the tribal areas of northern Bhuj, the Banni villages, then the Ahir who make incredible embroidery, leather and appliqué work typical of the region.It is probably the most important craft center in the world. You will visit many villages, each with its own craft specialty.The houses are beautifully decorated and the welcome is warm, always full of mutual curiosity. Visit White Desert of Kutch.Return to Bhuj at the end of the day.Overnight at Bhuj.

Day 13 – Bhuj – Gondal(270 kms / 6 Hours)

Road to Gondal.Arrival and transfer to your hotel.Then Naulakha Palace, the oldest existing palace in Gondal, India, dating from the 18th century(1748) under the reign of Haloji Sagramji.Visit the Vintage car gallery at the Orchard Palace of the Royal Family.Dinner and night in the palace at Gondal.

Day 14 – Gondal – Junagadh – Sasan gir(150km / 3 Hours)

Today after breakfast, proceed towards Junagadh – a historical town and Visit the Uparkot Fort overlooking the city of Junagadh which houses the famous Buddhist caves and also visit the Ashoka Rock Edicts done by the Emperor Ashok.Visit Mahabat Khan Maqbara, a stunning Indo Saracenic style Mausoleum.Drive to Sasangir – only place in the world where you can find the Asiatic Lion in their Abode.Arrival and transfer to your hotel.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 – Sasangir

Today early morning, visit the Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary for the jungle safari.This is the only place in the world where Asiatic lions can still be found, making it an important area.This area is formed by a national park measuring 258 km2.More than 2375 distinct animal species including about 38 species of mammals, about 300 species of birds, 37 species of reptiles and more than 2000 species of insects have been recorded.Carnivorous mammals mainly consist of the Asiatic lion, leopards, hyenas, jackals, mongoose.The rusty – spotted cat can be seen there, but is rare.Discovery of the park in the morning, A safari in the afternoon, Full board, Night in Sasangir.

Day 16 – Sasangir – Somnath – Diu(150 kms / 3 Hours)

After Breakfast, drive to Diu.Enroute, visit the temple of Somnath Mahadev, one ofthe 12 most sacred places in India dedicated to God Shiva.Immerse in the Divine Temple and thereby proceed towards Diu – a former Portuguese Colony Overnight at Diu.

Day 17 – Diu

The city is located in the eastern part of the island and is known for its fortress andcathedral, a legacy of Portuguese colonization.It is also a fishing port.City Tour The Fort was built in 1535 and maintained an active garrison until 1960. There arethree Portuguese Baroque churches, with St.Paul’s, completed in 1610, being the only one still in use for its original purpose.St.Francis of Assisi Church, the first church built in Diu, in 1593, is now used as a hospital.St.Thomas Church is currently used as a museum.A very ancient temple of Lord Shiva is located on the “Gangeswar” coast.A visit to the Naida Caves completes the day.Check -in at the hotel, Overnight in Diu.

Day 18 – Diu – Palitana(180 kms / 4 Hours)

After Breakfast, proceed to Palitana and rest in Laxmi Vilas Palace to gain energy to visit the Jain site. Good night while enjoying the delicious meal. Overnight at Palitana.

Day 19 – Palitana – Vadodara(250 kms / 5 Hours)

Today Early morning start to climb the Shatrunjaya hill for the temples, there are more than 3740 steps and atop the hill, there are more than 800 Jain Temples each intricately carved which can left everyone in awe.Thereby Proceed to Vadodara and Overnight at Vadodara.

Day 20 – Vadodara – Champaner – Jambugoda(90 kms / 2 Hours)

Today morning after breakfast, discover the Sprawling Laxmi Vilas Palace, said to be four times larger than Buckingham Palace, a perfect blend of various architectural styles and the Fathesinh museum, famous for the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma.Thereby Drive to Champaner – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and erstwhile Capital of Gujarat.Visit to the archaeological park with the Jama Masjid, Nagina Masjid and Kevda Masjid mosques.Proceed to Jambughoda and Overnight in the Jambugoda Palace.

Day 21 – Jambugoda

Today a Free day in Jambughoda, enjoy the lush green fields around the stay and take a walk in the local market. Overnight at Jambughoda.

Day 22- Jambugoda – Ahmedabad

Today after breakfast, Departure to Ahmedabad airport and drop as per schedule.
