Stroll down to the Gateway of India with thousands of Art Deco buildings on the way. Evening visit to the famous Marine Drive or the Queen’s Necklace to witness the vibrancy of the city. This morning, take a ferry from the Gateway of India to the famous Elephanta. caves, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and witness the ancient rock cut architecture of India. The day starts with a 3-hour drive to Pune, the cultural capital of Maharashtra. through the scenic Mumbai-Pune Motorway with lots of tunnels and ghats on the way. Visit Shaniwar Wada in Pune—the historic palace fort of the Peshwas and the famous Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple. Explore the Aga Khan Palace, known for its historical significance in the Indian Independence Struggle. Take a walk along the buzzing streets of MG Road and enjoy local snacks at FC Road. Today morning, visit the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum to see a vast collection of Indian artifacts and the Pataleshwar Cave temple, an ancient rock-cut temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The day begins with a 5-hour drive to Aurangabad. Visit the historic Bibi Ka. Maqbara, a replica of Taj Mahal commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s son Azam Shah in the memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begum. Visit the historic Daulatabad Fort on the outskirts of Aurangabad, which stands with a long history of different rulers. Overnight at Aurangabad.Day 6: Aurangabad-Ajanta Ellora Caves-Aurangabad
Today we’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora caves. Both Ajanta and Ellora caves are famous for their multi-religious rock-cut sculptures and paintings dating from the 6th century. The caves showcase the tremendous skills of the Indian sculptors since the ancient era. Overnight at Aurangabad.Day 7: Aurangabad-Shani Shinganapur-Shirdi
Today morning, proceed to Shani Shinganapur (80 km/1 ½ hours) to visit the famous Shani Dev Temple. The village itself is a wonder to see as there are no doors in any houses or shops in the village. Thereby proceed to Shirdi, the city. which houses the temple of Sai Baba, a famous saint where thousands of devotees visit everyday. Visit Sai Baba Temple and Overnight at Shirdi.Day 8: Shirdi-Nashik
The day starts with a 2-hour drive to Nashik, a city famous for its religious significance and vineyards. First visit the Tryambakeshwar Mahadev—one of the 12 Jyortilingas, as per the Hindu religion, Ram Kund was one of the Kumbh Melas in organized every 12 years on the banks of the River Godavari and Panchvati, where Lord Rama spent some time during his exile.
